Managing Stress

Most things in life are uncontrollable--other people, traffic, et cetera--so we cannot always simply take the stress out our lives by removing the stressor. Stress in its entirety is not bad. It adds flavor to life so, even if all stress could be removed, we would not want that. Stressful situations are the stories we tell later in life so having zero stress would only make life boring an undesirablely boring. So what we need to learn is how to manage what we can and be prepared for when uncontrollable stressors occur and to protect ourselves from unnecessary stressors.

 

One means of protecting ourselves is to understand what stresses you out. Knowing what your stressors can help in the sense that you can sense the stress coming and instantly be able to know to manage it.

 

There is no immediate fix to make your life less stressful because it is all about lifestyle and that may take time to fix. The fastest ways to relieve stress and begin to change your lifestyle are through three ways: your sleeping habits, your eating habits, and your exercising habits. These things will help keep you more calm through stress and helps build a good defense for on coming stress.
