Sleep

We all know the difference in feeling of when we get enough sleep versus when we do not. When you do not get enough, we are irritable, stresses, and low on energy. When we do get enough, we feel calm, full of energy, and less irritable. Of teens who reported having low stress, 90% say they get enough sleep, and of teens who report having high stress, 48% report getting enough sleep.

 

The alpha waves that the brain makes when exercising that state a relaxed mind is the state of the brain during sleep. Sleep is extremely important because that is when the body recharges and recuperated itself. Most people need seven to nine hours of sleep a night (few can go with six), and most people understand their importance of sleep but do not follow through.
